CELEBRATING 250 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE IN AMERICA

In 2026, our country will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This once-in-a-generation milestone is being recognized across the nation, and Hebron is excited to take part in the celebration in a way that reflects our town’s unique history and sense of community.

The Hebron Town Council unanimously appointed the Hebron 250 Town Center Project (TTCP) organizers to lead planning and coordination efforts on behalf of the Town of Hebron. TTCP will work closely with Town departments, local organizations, volunteers, and community members to create events and activities that are welcoming, meaningful, and fun for all ages.

Throughout 2026, Hebron will host a variety of programs and events designed to celebrate our shared past and look ahead to the future. Planning will follow the four themes set by the America 250 CT Commission and will include community events, educational opportunities, ways for residents to get involved, and efforts to support and promote the celebration under a shared Hebron identity.
