About HCC

The Hebron Creative Collective (HCC) nurtures and promotes local arts through collaboration, events, and initiatives. We support The Town Center Project while also hosting our own programs and exhibitions.

Recent highlights include:

  • Collaboration with AHM during the Harvest Moon Festivities

  • Hosting the first “Fall into Art” art show

Monthly Meetings

When: First Monday of each month
Time: 6:00–8:00 PM
Where: Russell Mercier Senior Center, Hebron

Meetings are open to all residents, including those from Hebron and surrounding areas.

Become a Member: All are welcome to attend any meeting to learn more about HCC & become a member. Annual member dues are $40, or $25 for students (14-22), helping support HCC programs, events, and local arts initiatives. For any additional questions about becoming a member, please email artinhebron@gmail.com.

Opportunities for Members

Hebron has many talented, creative people with a wide variety of skills in different media. Hebron Creative Collective, a committee of The Town Center Project, was formed to support our local artists and to help create opportunities to promote, display and sell your work.

Some of the many opportunities available by joining are:

  • meet and have fellowship with other artists and craftspeople

  • show your work in local businesses

  • sell your work in local businesses

  • one person shows at the Douglas Library with an opening reception hosted by HCC

  • group shows at a venue in the town center

  • a town juried Art Show open to Hebron and the nearby towns with awards and prizes

  • have your work seen by or sold to the public by participating in townwide events like Maple Fest, Hebron Day and Harvest Moon Festival

  • attend sharing sessions, or art together occasions such as casual working evenings and plein air gatherings

  • attend and/or lead demonstrations, lessons and workshops

Your commitment to the group would include:

  • an annual general meeting held midyear in the summer with a special event

  • participation in one major town event per year

  • attendance at monthly meetings is not required, but is appreciated

  • you choose to participate in subcommittees for events which will meet as the committee requires and determines

HCC is a welcoming community for all artists, creatives, and art enthusiasts in Hebron and surrounding areas.

the Hebron Creative Collective’s juried art show on may 3, 2026

Thank you for your interest in the Hebron Creative Collective’s juried art show!

Sunday, may 3rd, 2026 | 11 am to 4 pm

location: Colebrook village, 55 John E Horton Blvd, Hebron, CT 06248

What is the Juried Art Show?

  • Artists from Hebron and surrounding towns ages 14 and up are invited to submit up to three pieces of 2D or 3D artwork.

  • Art can be in any media (e.g. paintings, ceramics, jewelry, glassware, textile art, collage, etc.) with the size of the artwork no larger than 24 inches.

  • All works in the Art Show will be judged by Pennsylvania fine artist Tricia Lowrey Lippert to select First, Second, and Third Place prize winners!

  • New this year, visitors will be able to complete a ballot of their favorite piece and the People’s Choice will be announced at the end of the show!

How do I attend?

  • Join us at Colebrook Village (55 John E Horton Blvd, Hebron, CT 06248) on Sunday 5/3/26 any time between 11 am-4 pm.

  • No tickets needed! Attendance is FREE! (Donations are appreciated!)

How do I apply?

  • Eligible artists can submit up to 3 pieces of eligible 2D or 3D artwork by the deadline of April 10, 2026.

  • To submit your work to the Art Show complete both steps below:

    • 1) Complete the Application Form at this link by April 10, 2026

      • Please note: a Google account is required to complete the form.

      • The application will require you to submit photos of your artwork. JPEGs of art should be cropped to the art’s edges, well-lit and at least 150dpi.

    • 2) Mail in a non-returnable Entry Fee via check by April 10, 2026. (Make checks payable to TTCP (The Town Center Project), PO Box 153, Hebron, CT 06248. Write “Hebron Creates 2026” in the memo of your check. Checks should be postmarked April 10, 2026 at the latest.)

      • The Entry Fees for adults are: $20 for up to two pieces, $25 for three pieces

      • The Entry Fees for students (14-22 years old) are: $10 for up to two pieces, $15 for three pieces

      • Entry fees are non-returnable, but will be waived if you would like to join the Hebron Creative Collective for 2026! Annual membership is $40 for adults and $25 for students (age 14-22). All the benefits of being a member can be found above!

  • Eligible artists are artists from Hebron and the surrounding towns, ages 14 and up.

  • Eligible artwork can be in any media (e.g. paintings, ceramics, jewelry, glassware, textile art, collage, etc.) with the size of the artwork no larger than 24 inches.

  • Selected artists will be emailed on April 17, 2026

If you are selected for the Art Show:

  • You must drop off your work to Colebrook Village on Saturday, May 2, 2026 between 2-4 pm.

  • Work can be picked up immediately after the show or the following morning.

  • Prizes and awards will be awarded for first ($250), second ($150) and third ($100) places.

  • Judging, prizes, and awards will be based on use of medium, composition, use of color, proficiency and design.

  • Accepted art must be framed/finished and wired for hanging. (No sawtooth hangers, please.)

  • 3D pieces should be ready to easily display on a table.

  • We have six table top easels which may be borrowed for the show on a first come, first serve basis. To request an easel, please email artinhebron@gmail.com after submitting your Application Form.

  • New this year, visitors will be able to complete a ballot of their favorite piece and the People’s Choice will be announced at the end of the show.
